We are now moving slightly north: where the district of Casco Antiguo ends, and Macarena begins. This is the perfect neighbourhood to immerse yourself in the real Andalusian neighbourhood life! The main attraction of the area is the Basilica de la Virgen de la Macarena, from which the whole neighbourhood takes its name. Do not miss Alameda de Hércules, one of the main squares in Seville, and in the evening a meeting point for the inhabitants of the city.
Macarena is a perfect neighbourhood for those who want to save on accommodation, without giving up many services and a great location. If you are also looking for a bit of nightlife then we recommend that you concentrate your search in the area of the Alameda de Hércules square.
Here you will be further away from the main attractions, but you can still get around on foot: from the Basilica of the Macarena to the Cathedral of Seville it is about 25 min (2 km). Alternatively you can use public transport.
Average prices in the neighborhood start from about €65,00 - compare the best accommodation on Booking.

On the opposite bank of the Guadalquivir river, the first neighbourhood you come across is Barrio de Triana, which is the most authentic neighbourhood in all of Seville! Here you can find the characteristic Mercado De Triana and Castillo de San Jorge, which for centuries was the seat of the Holy Inquisition. Here, you will find yourself strolling through narrow streets framed by colourful buildings!
But what distinguishes Triana is also its lively nightlife! In fact, it is a neighbourhood recommended for those who want to have fun and enjoy the nightlife of Seville. In the evening, however, it is recommended to stay on the main roads, and avoid dark streets away from the nightlife.
Finally it is a very convenient neighbourhood to stay in due to its excellent location: you just need to cross the Ponte de Isabel II, which since 1852 has joined the two banks of the city, to find yourself in the El Arenal district, in Casco Antiguo!

As we have seen, Triana is a neighborhood with a lively nightlife, so if you are looking for something more peaceful, we recommend the neighbourhood of Los Remedios. Located south of Triana, this is a very quiet and green space, with the large Parque de Los Principes!
In fact, Los Remedios is a neighbourhood recommended above all for families, but also for those who want to avoid too touristy and chaotic places! Here, you will find all the services you need, from shops to restaurants!
Also, from this area, you can get to the centre on foot or by metro: on foot you just have to cross Ponte Sant'Elmo or the Puente de los Remedios (the latter leads directly to Parque de María Luisa); or you can use the L1 metro (Parque de los Príncipe and Plaza de Cuba stops).
